Problem
When a contractor working at a South Carolina rock quarry faced a rebuild for a dragline machine, it realized it lacked the skilled labor necessary to perform welding and fabrication to complete the project. With little time to spare, the contractor contacted FieldForce Solutions.
Solution
FieldForce mobilized the required skilled structural welders and fabricators within two days. The walls, doors and floors had to be fabricated and installed to rebuild the dragline machine at the quarry rather than in a shop environment.
Results
FieldForce workers’ experience in welding and fabrication techniques allowed the customer to complete the rebuild approximately one week ahead of the projected finish date. FieldForce followed all applicable safety regulations and there were no reported incidents during the project.
